pinhole

In concrete, a small round hole on the surface of hardened concrete. Pinholes are caused when trapped air or water comes to the surface. Most pinholes appear on the top surface or on the surface under the forms. Pinholes up to ½-inch in diameter are considered appearance defects. A hole greater than 1 inch should be repaired. Also called bugholes, blowholes or surface voids. Alternate spelling: pin hole.
