APA-Rated Decking
What is APA-rated decking?
The term "decking" is sometimes used instead of "Sheathing" when a sheathing
product is applied to a horizontal surface like a roof deck or floor deck. APA-Rated Sheathing and APA-Rated Sturdi-Floor are examples of wood panel products that are manufactured and marked (stamped) indicating their intended end use.
"APA Rated" means the product is manufactured by an APA member mill and
meets specific manufacturing and product performance guidelines established
by the APA. The APA has auditors that make unannounced visits to member
mills to ensure that they are meeting APA quality standards.
